Free singing sessions for respiratory & cardiac patients.
I noticed when I began that the depth of my breathing had improved by the time the hour was up. Now it improves within the first quarter of an hour. ”
— Lung Songs Participant, letter to Choice Magazine, June 2016
Singing has been shown to be a form of gentle cardiovascular exercise that deepens the breath cycle and regulates heart rate. Breathing exercises and easy, accessible singing can support patients to manage and improve their health conditions.
Respiratory and cardiac patients are welcome to join a fun, friendly group for gentle exercises and singing for wellbeing – plus tea and biscuits 🙂
Having previously been based at St George’s Hospital, South East London, currently the group is running hybrid in person and Zoom sessions in a community venue in Tooting.
