Further information:

Hub Harmonies is a community choir, usually based in East Devon. Due to lockdowns and COVID restrictions we have been running as an online choir since May 2020 with Zoom singing sessions (though we hope to restart singing together in person when this becomes safer, in summer 2021). Everyone is welcome to join our Zoom choir sessions: please email to get your Zoom invite.

As songs are taught by ear, to join us you don’t need to be able to read sheet music and there are no auditions – complete beginners and experienced singers are equally welcome at our sessions of harmony singing. The choir sings together via Zoom on Wednesday mornings: sessions are led by Natural Voice practitioner Becca Flintham.

The aim is for our sessions to be uplifting, energising and inspiring – come along and enjoy the harmonies! Each session begins with a gentle physical and vocal warm-up, followed by singing all kinds of songs: African, Eastern European, gospel, jazz, folk, rock, Georgian, Scandanavian and many other musical cultures and styles… Come along and enjoy sharing singing together. It’s uplifting, energising and inspiring – just what we all need.

“I was so pleased I came to the singing…  It reminded me how much pleasure singing gives me and how positively it can effect people, physically and mentally.  It’s such a life-affirming activity… I wanted to thank you for your relaxed and inspirational approach to teaching. Thanks again, it was lovely.”

Cost per session: £6  / £4 if you need a concession rate.

Zoom choir: Wednesday morning sessions online via Zoom during term time. (Hub Harmonies choir will restart singing together in person when it becomes safer to do so, hopefully in summer 2021.)
