Exploring songs with movement and moving our bodies to create sounds and song. Over the weekend we will learn gorgeous harmony songs mainly from Helen’s huge body of work, influenced by world singing traditions and choral music, at times adding movements, such as stepping patterns, walking, stretching, rolling and rocking.

Being alive in our bodies while we sing, we move towards a voice that emerges out of a deeper, easier place. Ali and Helen will also use movement to take us into improvised sounding and song or will start with sounds that then develop into movement. At times it will be dynamic and upbeat and at others gentle – with lying down, resting and silence, standing and sitting. We will mainly work in the stunning studio with its excellent acoustic and views of the Clyde as well as in different parts of the house, garden, the beach, reservoir, hill top or labyrinth.

Prices include use of the house, hall and grounds plus delicious vegetarian food, teas and coffees.
