Join us in the most beautiful of the Lake District valleys on a singing walk through the Borrowdale woods to Derwent water – and then past Lodore Falls, Ashley Bridge, and up through the woods singing with some of the most beautiful views in the Lake District. Then back to Borrowdale via the tiny upland village of Watendlath for a slap up afternoon tea (bring Thermos flasks!)
Our songs vary from rounds to longer songs in two, three and four part harmony – reflecting this season, and the hills and nature we will be walking through. We have a Zoom singing session to learn the harmonies and tunes in advance. Booklets of words will be sent by email.
Although walking groups (being an outdoor activity) are exempt from the rule of six, we will be limiting our numbers for safety reasons, complying with government restrictions, and maintaining all the covid-19 precautions which kept all those who joined our singing walks safe last year. Please check travel restrictions before joining us.
Pay according to means, from £5 to £15 for the day (including the Zoom tutorial.) Booking essential. You will need to dress appropriately for country walking and bring necessary items in a pack (waterproofs, walking boots, warm clothes, sunscreen, packed lunch, water bottle, thermos flask etc.)
We have a series of singing walks throughout the summer in England, Scotland and Slovenia, and a couple of singing wild camps high in the Lakeland hills.
To book, please send an email.
