Chaps Go North 2019!
Chaps Choir are coming north in April for a two-night jaunt for gigs and a workshop. Chaps Choir is a large male singing gang from London; say goodbye to the male voice choir most would recognise. Prepare for pop song re-hashes, snowy hunting calls, self-aware pirates and, well, lots of men singing …
Since the choir began in 2013 their voices have filled The Royal Festival Hall, The Roundhouse, The Union Chapel and other major London venues, they’ve played at Wilderness, Port Eliot, Citadel, collaborated with Omar, Samantha Whates, Joe Stilgoe, The Spooky Men’s Chorale, Voices Now, Irene Taylor Trust, The Choir With No Name, Music Venue’s Trust and recently recorded at Abbey Road Studios.
This workshop will be run by Dominic Stichbury, and will be followed by an evening concert with the Chaps Choir supported by MOSS, Ben Rhydding-based male vocal ensemble, directed by Keely Hodgson.
There will also be a Chaps Choir gig on 12th April in the Gladstone Theatre, Port Sunlight, Wirral.
