This is our annual folk carols weekend with workshops to learn these lively old carols in 2, 3 and 4 part harmony, pub singing with the folk carols, concert, cosy accommodation in Dent village cottages, singing walks up the valley singing outside cottages cradled in the dale – and more often than not, round the fires of the kindly dalesfolk who live here.

We look forward to welcoming you – either at Dent station on the Settle Carlisle railway (which runs between Leeds and Carlisle,) or in the village which has copious parking.

Our carols include mediaeval carols, Sheffield pub carols, well known folk carols, carols from Slovenia and beyond, and many more.

We will sing in the beautiful Dent Meditation Centre, a beautifully restored chapel with a very pleasing acoustic. Evening meals are provided on Friday and Saturday, lunches on Saturday and Sunday, and breakfast in the cottages. Singers who need to stay an extra night on Sunday are welcome to do so – those who remain usually eat in the pub and we have a singing session round the fire.

Lift shares can be arranged. Recordings, words and written music will be sent in advance for home study.
