Further information:

Join us singing folk carols and seasonal songs in the Black Forest and in Slovenia – visiting Christmas markets and singing in Slovenian, English and German.
With accommodation in Ljubljana on the banks of the river Ljubljanica we will sing the beautiful Slovenian Christmas songs as well as meeting with local choirs, outings to sing by beautiful lakes and waterfalls, in stunning churches on hill tops, and rousing drinking songs in local pubs.
You can either meet us in Ljubljana – or join us on the train singing in London, Paris, and Stuttgart with an overnight stay in the beautiful mediaeval town of Rottweil in the Black Forest – or in nearby B&B.
Songs can be sent in advance with translations and recordings of the parts – there are also opportunities to learn the songs at workshops in the UK before going to Slovenia.
The songs are all very lively and are often sung in pubs in the north of England near Christmas, especially near the northern city of Sheffield, as well as in country churches and pubs in Slovenia.

David Burbidge has led harmony singing groups in Scotland and the north of England for over 25 years, and is a founder member of the Natural Voice Network which aims to make harmony singing as accessible as possible for as many people as possible. He lives in Sedbergh which has been twinned with Zrece in Slovenia for over 15 years, and speaks passable Slovenian, and has led exchanges of over 50 choirs between the two countries.
