Further information:

Georgian harmony singing has been designated an intangible world heritage site by UNESCO. This ancient and fascinating music was surpressed under soviet rule, but as an aural tradition, it has survived by being passed down through communities of singers.
In this workshop we will learn to sing some Alilo’s – Georgian Christmas songs, and a New Year song.
Our venue, The Reading Rooms has an open fire, and Sunderland Point is a beautiful fishing village, but beware – it gets cut off when high tides cover the road. The workshop is timed so that you can get to the village before the tide comes in, and you will be able to leave at the end, but please don’t expect to arrive late or leave early! I will make sure I have supplies in – tea and coffee, mince pies etc.
Also, because of the size of the venue, and the cut-off-ness of it, I would really appreciate it if you let me know you’re coming, or if you decide not to. I don’t want anyone left out in the cold!
