We will be staying in the spacious Buttermere youth hostel near the lake in this beautiful part of the Lake District – with workshops to learn songs celebrating the mountains and good company.

Unlike the Black Sail Youth Hostel where we usually stay at this time of year, you can drive to the Buttermere youth hostel, and there are many small occupancy rooms. All food providing but we will also be “mucking in” together.

There will be walks which are suitable for everyone, and others which are more suitable for those who enjoy being on the tops of the mountains and are used to hillwalking in all conditions.

I teach the songs by call and response, by ear, but I can send written music and recordings in advance for home study.
