Many Voices LGBTQIA+ on 1 September

01 Sep 2024

13.00—14.30

Kensington Unitarians, near Notting Hill Gate tube
Fingers with singing faces drawn on the tips, in front of a rainbow flag

Come and sing for fun with LGBTQIA+ (and ally-friendly) group Many Voices. There’s no need to read music; all songs are taught by ear. No auditions, no performances, no commitment required. We just sing for fun: spirited songs, fun ditties and rounds, and inspirational songs, nothing complicated. We genuinely welcome lesbian, gay, bi, trans/gender-diverse, queer, questioning, intersex, and asexual people — and our allies.

This session will be led by Tati, with a couple of fab folky songs from Juliet Desailly. (And advance notice, because we’re excited: the following session, on 3 November, will feature guest leader Val Regan!)

Our venue is Essex Church (Kensington Unitarians), near Notting Hill Gate tube station. We’ll be singing in a big, bright room with plenty of space and ventilation. There is a ramp to the front door, and an accessible loo (plus two other gender-neutral loos).

If you would like to come and sing your heart out, but are feeling a bit nervous, get in touch beforehand and we’ll do what we can to help you over the threshold 🙂 You’ll definitely feel better after a good sing!

Cost: £10 (£5 conc), BACS or cash. No need to pre-book but it helps us know how many biccies to buy…
