Further information:

An evening of song, story and stillness to mark the first stirrings of spring.

In the Celtic calendar Imbolc celebrates the beginning of the beginning of new growth, the first brave shoots of spring, the first lambs (one derivation for the word Imbolc relates to ewe’s milk). It was also traditionally the time for celebrating the year’s crop of children. For our ancestors, it was a time of hope and promise.

We think this kind of long view could help us this year, as we have so few other of our normal landmarks to navigate by. We are offering a chance to come together online.

Emily has extensive experience of singing within the limitations of Zoom to create a sense of harmony. Jackie took her regular meditations and other offerings online in 2020, and found that sharing by Zoom can be surprisingly satisfying. Together we will weave a warm evening of singing, story and quiet reflection to celebrate new shoots of hope.
