Hosted by Songways, Northern Harmony, the unique world-music vocal ensemble from Vermont in the US, will be performing in the beautiful setting of St Luke’s Church, and giving a singing workshop to share their wonderful songs and voices. Open to all.

Come and be inspired by these young American singers and their passion for thrilling styles of singing from across the world. Students especially welcome.

2:30 – 5.30pm Singing workshop 
Join Larry Gordon and Northern Harmony for a workshop including American shape-note singing, gospel, and South African song and dance. Northern Harmony singers will support each vocal part, making the teaching particularly efficient and rewarding. No experience necessary.

Pot-luck supper for workshop participants with Northern Harmony singers
IMPORTANT If you would like join the potluck supper, please bring a plate of food to share PLUS your own plate, cutlery, glass, drinks, etc. 

7:30pm Northern Harmony concert
A vibrant evening of world harmony traditions including South African songs and dances, traditional polyphony from Georgia, Corsica, and the Balkans, American shape-note singing and quartet gospel, and renaissance motets.
