Further information:

Coming between the celebration days for Scotland’s national poet Rabbie Burns and Slovenia’s Franc Preseren, our day will celebrate the singing of songs from both countries in 2, 3 and 4 part harmony. We’ll sing round the fire in the Unitarian School Room on Branthwaite Brow in Kendal – and enjoy both haggis and potica, whisky and borovnicevec, as well as songs from both countries.
There will be a workshop to learn the songs in the afternoon 12:30-18:30, followed by a singing supper with songs to join in with, and a ceilidh concert with Lakeland Voices and other singers from both sides of the border.
On Sunday you are welcome to join our workshops learning Slovenian songs 10am-4pm which will be helpful if you are joining our tour of Slovenia later in the year – or just come to enjoy these fabulous songs on their own.
