What better way to raise money for a really worthwhile cause than to combine singing with walking? Come and learn a range of beautiful harmony songs from across the world on the theme of water and social change and then walk the lovely Huddersfield Narrow Canal from Milnsbridge to Marsden. Along the way we’ll stop off at Milnsbridge, Slaithwaite and Marsden to sing our songs and shake buckets! At the evening and Sunday morning workshops you will learn and practice the songs – come to all. come to some.
Walk from Milnsbridge to Marsden singing/busking and raising money for Water Aid: Sunday 25th June 1 to 4pm
Workshops to learn/practise the songs:
Weds 7th, 14th, 21st June 7.30 to 9.30pm Pure Heart Centre, 11 Station St, Huddersfield, HD1 1LS
Sunday 25th June 10am to 12.30pm at The Red and Green Club, 42 Bankwell Road. Milnsbridge, HD3 4LU for workshop practice
Water Aid provides clean water and sanitation to parts of the world where these basics are not available. Several years ago The Natural Voice Practitioners Network (of which Jenny is a founder member) teamed up with Water Aid to create Sing for Water – a national fund-raising programme where choirs and groups from all over the country learn a range of songs and then sing them at fund-raising events. Over the years many beautiful songs have been shared and we’ll be learning some of the top hits. All songs will be taught by ear so absolutely no previous experience required.
Come and raise you voice and make a real change to people’s lives. All profits will go to Water Aid plus what we raise by busking.
Whichever you choose, please let Jenny know you are planning to come so she knows numbers by contacting email@example.com or on 07984 584923.
