10am—4pm

The SYDNI Centre, Leamington Spa

Sing to Beat Parkinson’s is excited to announce a one day training course on 7th September 2024 at the SYDNI Centre in Sydenham, Warwickshire. This course offers a unique and specialist opportunity for musicians, emerging artists and health professionals to gain invaluable experience and develop a toolkit to run a singing group for people with Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions, their carers and family members.

The course will be led by:
– Nicola Wydenbach (Director of Training at Sing to Beat Parkinson’s)
– Claire Fowler (Sing to Beat Parkinson’s Lead practitioner)

Participants will gain a greater awareness and understanding of singing groups for people with Parkinson’s. There will be practical workshops and demonstrations on how to lead warm-ups and songs and other activities that are tailor-made for this client group as well as practical advice about how to set up and run a group once the course is finished.

Registration (cost £60) and further details are now available on our website at www.singtobeat.co.uk/training. If you have any questions or would like further information about the day, please email Sing to Beat Parkinson’s Programme Director Matt Shipton: m.shipton@canterburycantatatrust.co.uk
