NVN member Christine Kydd and STAT teacher Jeannie MacLean work together offering a weekend of delights with Singing and Alexander Technique. Christine is a renowned singer, voice worker and song tutor, and Jeannie is an experienced teacher of the Alexander Technique. The symbiosis of personal sound and movement lifts the spirits and opens up new ways of using the singing voice for delight.

The weekend is aimed at anyone who uses their voice!

The weekend course runs from the evening of Friday 28th April to the afternoon of Sunday 30th April in a comfortable country house in Glen Prosen, one of the beautiful Angus Glens (just 1.5 hours from Edinburgh airport, or 45 minutes from Dundee.)

Places are limited to 12 people.

This is the 4th Singing for Delight event and we welcome participants to join us in exploring the delights of singing and ‘going up’.

Quotes from previous Singers for Delight on courses in 2015 and 2016:

  • Great combination. The two elements are so complementary. More power to your elbows.
  • Can’t believe I sang a part!
  • Singing and breathing, timing of?
  • Singing together had an almost meditative quality at times
  • Listening instead of singing- wonderful to hear all the voices blending
  • Lovely songs- words with meaning and emotion- need more time to get to know them and feel them!
  • Synergy. Tuning in and listening and blending tunes etc.
  • Explore beyond comfort zone- still safe
  • How to lie down on the floor
  • Great fun and satisfying singing- so easy. Table work amazing!
  • Love the combination of short and simple and longer songs. Singing in parts flows so easily with Christine at the helm.
  • Feel a new lease of life- several inches taller and free to move and choose and no need to do anything.
  • Excellent choice of songs, very happy singing.
  • Harmony
  • A great bunch of singing energy
