Join The Blameless Hussies (Jenny Goodman and Sarah Harman) for an unbeatable weekend of acapella harmony singing in the beautiful surroundings of Holland House Retreat Centre in Pershore in Worcestershire. This lovely old house provides comfortable bedrooms (lots of singles, some twins and one fully accessible twin), delightful gardens, yummy home-cooked food (including home-grown and locally sourced produce) and the river Avon flowing past.
Jenny and Sarah are two of the most experienced and inspiring voice and singing teachers in the UK, combining over 50 years of leading workshops, choirs and singing projects. They are committed to the philosophy that everyone can sing and that singing together is a fundamental form of human expression. They will share songs from the world and folk traditions and their own compositions – all taught by ear in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Each day will start with a gentle warm up to get your voice, body and breath ready to sing.
There will also be the opportunity to book a 1-2-1 session with either Jenny or Sarah to work individually on your voice PLUS The Blameless Hussies will be appearing to kick off an evening of informal singing/music making on the Saturday night – sharing their witty and moving original harmony songs to get the evening started.
To book contact Jenny on email@example.com or 07984 584923 or Sarah on firstname.lastname@example.org or 07981 420197
Here’s some quotes from previous Hussie weekends to give you a taste
- “Excellent teaching, as always – lovely songs to sing and one-to-one session very worthwhile”
- “Love the quiet corners and cosy sofas – as well as the singing, of course!”
- The teaching of the singing was so varied – it was a joy and the songs were skilfully programmed to be challenging and (relatively) easy by turn. Everyone was able to feel confident and accomplished”
- “I had a treat, learning a great diversity of songs with kind people. I felt supported and encouraged. Ace! Thanks Hussies”.
