You are warmly invited to this singing retreat weekend which runs from Friday evening Friday 12th August to Sunday 14th August. The event is held at Oakraven Field Centre, set in the beautiful Forest of Dean next to the Wye Valley.
We will be singing uplifting and heart opening four-part harmony songs such as folk, roots, world, gospel, shape note as well as original compositions. All parts will be taught by ear. There will also be optional early morning yoga, as well as the opportunity to share your gifts at an informal cabaret session on Saturday evening. At night, we can choose to sit round a large fire under the stars, or stay indoors in the large lounge area full of comfortable sofas. Come and immerse yourself in joyful harmony singing, merry music making, and fun and friendship at this idyllic retreat centre. There will also be opportunities to go for walks in the beautiful secluded grounds next to the centre or further afield.
Dormitory beds in comfortable shared rooms (mostly sharing with one or two others at most) or camping in lovely spacious grounds are available with full use of facilities. Campervans welcome. Delicious home cooked food is provided from Friday evening to Sunday lunchtime. This retreat is now in its 13th year and gets booked up early. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 0790 9937880 if you’d like more information or would like to book. See also www.eastoncommunitychoir/singing-retreat-in-the-wye-valley
