Do you love being part of a community of singers but would like to be able to sing more freely and expressively in a way that helps you to feel deeply connected to each other and to whatever is currently meaningful?
If so, this new small singing group may be for you.
The main focus of the sessions will be connection through vocal improvisation. This may sound scary but it won’t be – it will be set up in a supportive way that is fun & playful, often joyful, often profound and definitely life enhancing.
You will need a desire to listen to others, an attitude of playful curiosity and a willingness to have a go and to not worry when things go wrong or get messy (that’s life as well as art!).
The intention will be to collaborate and connect with each other. You will learn how to supportively develop each other’s ideas and also how to let your own voice fly, supported by the group voice, and in response to whatever is meaningful to you.
There will be space for people to bring in bits of spoken word or poems and some people may find themselves writing along the way.
The sessions will happen on Mondays from 7.30 – 9.00pm. The sessions this term will be organised into 2 series of 4 sessions with a break in between.
This term: 27th September – 18th October and 8th – 29th November. Cost: £80 for all 8 sessions or £44 per series.
The group will be strictly limited to 12 participants.
