Spring Sing 2020

A day of uplifting a cappella harmony singing workshops with three experienced and thoroughly lovely singing workshop leaders: Clare Wheeler, Jamie Dawes-Hughes and Anna Tabbush

Clare Wheeler is a singer, composer, arranger, vocal coach and workshop leader.  She performed with 5 time Grammy winning vocal group The Swingles, writing music and making albums for eleven years. Clare writes prolifically for other groups, runs workshops and masterclasses, as well as adjudicating a cappella competitions around the world. In September 2019 she joined the staff of the Jazz Department of Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she teaches improvisation, vocal jazz and runs the Vocal Jazz Ensemble. Clare currently sings with female a cappella group Corra Sound. https://www.facebook.com/clarewheelermusic/

Jamie Dawes-Hughes is a choir leader and singer based in North Wales. He runs Gwaenysgor Community Choir and The Greenhouse Singers, as well as running workshops at events and festivals across the country. He’s also currently one of the guest leaders as part of Harmony Live, a mass community singing event that has run in London, Brighton and Bristol. It’s Jamie’s belief that singing should be good fun, and full of laughter. When he’s not leading singing events, he sings with The Spooky Men’s Chorale, and their offshoot A Fistful of Spookies, as well as the mixed voice choir Côr Dre. https://naturalvoice.net/practitioner/jamiedawes

Anna Tabbush is a community choir leader, choral arranger, singer and multi-instrumentalist based in Midhurst, West Sussex. She currently runs 4 choirs across West Sussex and Surrey and 2 large singing events a year: SingFest and Spring Sing.  Anna has set up over 20 community choirs and conducted over 40 across the South-East. Her arrangements of folk and contemporary songs from Britain and around have been sung by choirs across the country. Anna plays fiddle and sings in various folk ensembles and has recently joined all-star female a cappella vocal group Corra Sound. www.annatabbush.com
