A day of uplifting a cappella harmony singing workshops with three experienced and thoroughly lovely singing workshop leaders: Ben See, Lucky Moyo and Anna Tabbush.
Ben See is a singer, composer and choir leader from London. Ben is passionate about community singing and believes everyone has a voice. He works with groups of all ages and levels of ability, with the aim of getting as many people singing as he can. Ben leads several community choirs around London, as well as delivering singing projects and vocal workshops with groups all over the UK. Recent collaborations include leading choirs and running workshops at the Southbank Centre, Roundhouse, Aldeburgh Young Musicians, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Union Chapel, Barbican, Cadogan Hall and The Foundling Museum. Ben’s teaching style is relaxed and inclusive, with the aim of supporting singers and sharing a love for singing.
Lucky Moyo is an arts practitioner and singer song-writer who has worked in over 35 countries around the world sharing songs and dances from Southern Africa. Lucky has been commissioned to write songs for events for and performed to Nelson Mandela and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Venue highlights have varied from small rural schools to such prestigious venues like the JF Kennedy Centre in Washington DC, Opera de Paris and to even Ronnie Scotts. Artistic collaborations have included working with artists from within Africa, the USA and across Europe and India.
Anna Tabbush is a community choir leader, choral arranger, singer and multi-instrumentalist based in Midhurst, West Sussex. She teaches traditional and contemporary songs from Britain and around the world plus some of her own compositions which have been sung by choirs up and down the country and around the world. Anna has conducted and composed for community choirs for over 20 years and has set up over 20 choirs in that time. She will get you singing, smiling and sounding gorgeous within minutes. Anna also sings with professional vocal ensembles Corra Sound and Oaken.
All ages and abilities welcome. No previous musical experience required – all music will be taught by ear in fun, relaxed workshops. Teas and coffees will be provided throughout the day and there is plenty of free parking at the venue. Spring Sing usually sells out so please book early to avoid disappointment.
