Join us for a singing walk in the Lake District, from Skelwith Bridge near Ambleside – in the woods, on the fell, and by waterfalls. Starting in the Skelwith Bridge community centre in the morning where we will learn a few songs together before setting out to sing on our walk. There is parking beside the centre.
Our songs vary from rounds to longer songs in two, three and four part harmony – reflecting the seasons, and the nature we will be walking through. Some songs can also be learnt from recordings in advance.
The walk is about 6 miles long, on good footpaths through the Langdale valleys – it can be made shorter by catching the bus back half way, or sharing lifts.
Please bring waterproofs and good boots, a packed lunch and thermos flask. £25
We have a series of singing walks throughout the summer in England, Scotland and Slovenia, and a couple of singing wild camps high in the hills.
To book, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org (NB only one R in Burbidge.)
