This day workshop is for anyone who is interested in discovering new ways of working with voice and movement. There is no need for any previous vocal, movement or musical experience.
Through simple improvisation exercises and easy to learn songs you will improve your listening skills and your ability to respond in the moment. Working in pairs, small groups and large ensemble you will explore different movement, vocal and emotional qualities. By embodying your voice you will experience more freedom, creativity and pleasure in your singing.
The work is playful and fun. Both leaders have extensive experience and are known for holding a safe, relaxed and non judgemental space.
Kate and Kate met at the UK Feldenkrais Training. They share a love of voice and movement and are interested to explore how this method can increase our physical and vocal creative potential.
I’m very excited that Kate Hilder will be joining me to teach this workshop. Kate’s teaching is mainly influenced by her training in Action Theater™, a form of physical theatre improvisation. She has been teaching nationally and internationally for the last 12 years. Kate is also a Feldenkrais Method Practitioner and she enjoys bringing her experience of this method to her classes. She is a gentle and supportive teacher, offering a safe environment for free expression and exploration. www.katehilder.com
I attended one of Kate’s classes last summer and I immediately knew I wanted to work with her again. She creates an incredibly safe space in which to explore voice and movement. The sessions are relaxed and playful, gentle and spacious. If you’re interested in voice, movement, awareness and improvisation I genuinely can’t recommend it enough.
There is an absolute maximum of 20 participants on this workshop and the cost is £45 for the day. To book contact me email@example.com
