The nights are drawing in and the clocks have changed – the tang of autumn is in the air. Winter is a time of dark nights and cold days when all you want to do is snuggle by the fire but traditionally it is also a time to come together to feast and celebrate through food, song and dancing – binding our communities together and keeping spirits strong. So why not give YOURSELF a treat by coming and sharing song with others. Learn a range of wintery songs and folk carols on the theme of winter.
All songs taught by ear so no previous experience needed. No solo singing (except by choice!) and no auditions – this is about the power and joy of singing together.
The workshop will be followed by the opportunity to perform the songs you have learnt by joining Jenny and her acapella performance group Far Cry in a fund-raising concert for local arts and older people’s organisations Sharing Memories. The concert starts at 7pm and is at the same venue. So sing away the winter blues AND help a great organisation.
