Further information:

Improvisation session using voice / hand drums and other percussion with Maggie O’Connor.  For all women ready to experiment and let out a bit of their inner wildness! No experience necessary.

It must be  20 years since  I ran a session like this and I have a desire to do one more session before hanging up my drums…

We’ll start with

  • a few exercises to free the natural voice
  • basic info on how to use the drums and percussion
  • some ideas on making music together, feeling the beat,  creating patterns, listening, responding.
  • Then let yourself go!  Feel free to express yourself ! We’ll make lots of noise and lots of wonderful  original music and have lots of fun together. Who knows what might happen?!

Just bring your voice; other instruments provided and feel free to bring any soundmakers ,shakers, drums, rhythm sticks , rain sticks, etc. if you’ve got any.

There will be a tea break – bring cake or any wild food to share!

Please email maggie@naturalvoice.net to reserve a place.
