Find a choir or singing group

On this page you can search for a choir or singing group by its name or by location.

If you are searching in the UK, click on “By location” and select “United Kingdom”, and you will then be able to narrow down your search by postcode. Alternatively you can zoom in on the map.

If you are searching for a member who is outside the UK, you will be able to search by country.

Then click on the button to initiate the search. You will then get an outline of the choirs and singing groups which match your search and you’ll be able to view full details. Please use these to contact any choirs that you’re interested in.

If you need to contact the NVN, rather than an individual choir, you can do so by emailing admin@naturalvoice.net

The Feel Good Chorus

Location

The Swan Theatre, Worcester WR1 3ED

Description

Born out of Sing for Health, the Feel-Good Chorus is an uplifting, open-to-all singing group of  30 plus voices based in Pershore, Worcestershire and a new group in Worcester. We sing a fun and varied repertoire of songs, some you will know well, some will be unknown to you, in up to 4-part harmony. Many of these singers have been part of ‘Sing for Health’ for some time and were sounding so marvellous and having such a good time that a ‘choir’ group was the natural progression! Since that move we have been joined by other members of the community – it is a really joyous group! We are recruiting now, particularly in our new group in Worcester; come and give us a try!

Session times

Tuesday afternoons between 2 - 3.30pm in Pershore and Tuesday mornings from 10 - 11.30 at The Swan Theatre in Worcester

The Freedom Choir

Location

1101 Bay Ridge Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403

Description

The Freedom Choir invites singers to experience the power and joy of singing in harmony. Led by musician and vocalist Elizabeth Melvin, songs are taught by rote or by call and response.  Lyrics and recorded learning tracks are provided for members on the choir website.

Singers are thrilled at how easy it is to improve their musical skills when singing in a harmony section with others. Beautiful 3- and 4-part harmonies quickly unfold as the group comes together to sing in a safe, supportive and relaxed atmosphere.

The repertoire draws from an amazing variety of sources, including South African freedom songs, Irish blessings, Southern gospel, African American civil rights songs, rounds, chants and originals written by Elizabeth Melvin.

The Freedom Choir meets in two locations to choose from, twice a week. (Wednesday mornings, Annapolis and Thursday evenings, Severna Park, MD). The choir is not affiliated with any specific religious creed and seeks to build a community of caring people united by the experience of sharing song.

Fees are charged for each multi-week session and payment plans are available. A sliding scale is available, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Session times

Wednesdays, 11am - 12 noon or Thursdays, 7:30 - 8:30pm
