Bristol’s legendary Gasworks Choir started in 1997 and has been going strong ever since. Currently led by Ali Orbaum and Susannah Gooch, we aim high but welcome all abilities. We sing a wide range of gorgeous material – pop, folk, soul, gospel, songs from around the world and the occasional classical piece. All songs are taught by ear and there’s no audition to join.

We meet fortnightly and learn our songs in smaller groups of approx. 40 singers. We also come together regularly as a 160 strong choir to enjoy singing as a whole choir and for performances. Our December concert is usually held at St George’s Bristol, a beautiful venue with one of the best acoustics in the country.

We are a friendly, lively and supportive choir which welcomes new members.

Gathering Light Choir is a lovely, friendly group open to all.

The songs we sing are learned by ear and have rousing harmonies and parts. The sharing of lush harmony, rhythm, delight and good company is the aim of the gatherings! We choose songs that express the rich beauty of life, nature and the heart, songs that reflect the seasons, songs that express something of our shared humanity, our inner life and the shared Spirit, and that sound glorious to sing.

We gather in several places:

St Andrews church hall, Victoria Road, Worthing, BN11 1XB
Just 5 mins walk from Worthing station with plenty of parking in surrounding roads the evening.
It has beautiful acoustics and a little kitchen for making teas and its own loos and is lovely!

We meet every Tuesday evening, 7.30pm – 9.30pm, £5 per person. Includes copious tea and coffee and biscuits!
These are drop in sessions so you are welcome to come any evening that suits you and pay when you arrive.

Shoreham Methodist Hall, Brunswick Road, Shoreham-by-Sea, BN43 5WB
2 mins walk south of the station. Plenty of parking in the surrounding roads in the evening.
This is a lovely hall, warm and welcoming with a kitchen and loos.

We meet every Wednesday evening, 7.30 - 9.30pm, £6 per person. Includes as much tea, coffee and biscuits as you need!
These are drop in sessions so you are welcome to come any evening that suits you and pay when you arrive.

Nestled in the hills of the South Downs, we gather in a beautiful and huge Tithe Barn to sing.
There are loos and a lovely cafe that is often open.

We meet on the 1st and 2nd Sunday of each month, 11 - 1pm
£6 per person.

Get Vocal welcomes singers of all abilities and we have lots of fun at the same time as learning gorgeous songs. These are mainly taught by ‘ear’ and we enjoy singing ‘acapella’. Songs range from folk and traditional from a variety of countries, to those of more popular genres, and anywhere in between!  A warm and friendly group, we enjoy the social aspects of singing together and we also like the challenge of performing every so often.

A friendly mixed voice community choir in Melton Mowbray singing in 3 or 4 part harmony. We sing music from around the world.   We meet in 12 week blocks during term time on Monday evenings.   New members are welcome at any time.
