Find a choir or singing group

On this page you can search for a choir or singing group by its name or by location.

If you are searching in the UK, you will be able to narrow down your search by postcode (or by zooming in on the map.)

If you are searching for a member who is outside the UK, you will be able to search by country.

Then click on the button to initiate the search. You will then get an outline of the choirs and singing groups which match your search and you’ll be able to view full details. Please use these to contact any choirs that you’re interested in.

If you need to contact the NVN, rather than an individual choir, you can do so by emailing admin@naturalvoice.net

InhamSingers

Location

Bisbrooke, near Uppingham in Rutland

Description

The InhamSingers is for anyone who likes singing and loves the idea of getting together to create some harmony. We meet every other Thursday in Bisbrooke near Uppingham for a drink and a sing — a mix of natural voice nuggets and everyone’s favourite songs (Beach Boys etc.).

The group is named after the Inhams path that links us with Uppingham and beyond, because we want this to be for the wider world. Walking the Inhams you’ll often hear the larks overhead, singing their hearts out.

Island Voices

Location

Peter Trim Hall, St George's Centre, Reforne, Portland, Dorset DT5 2AN

Description

Island Voices has been running for over 15 years. Set up originally in 2005 as an Arts Council funding project, the people who took part enjoyed it so much that they formed as a choir to carry on writing songs and singing together when the funding ran out.

We have close links with our local community, responding to requests to support local organisations and causes and often perform at community events on the island and beyond. In 2021 and 2022 we collaborated with a local theatre group in the production of a community play based on the history of the island – Heart of Stone, with original songs written for the play.

The choir currently has 15 to 20 members. We have a reputation for the high quality of our singing and the passion with which we sing about Portland. We have a repertoire of original songs about Portland and the sea with words written by local people and choir members. We also sing a number of other songs in harmony. We are always enlarging and developing our repertoire, and actively support and encourage our members to develop their song-writing skills.

We actively support voluntary leaders from among our choir members to develop their skills in choir leading, which also leads to a varied repertoire of music for the choir.

Islington Community Choir

Location

New Unity, 277A Upper St, London, N1 2TZ

Description

The Islington Community Choir meets to sing, stretch, move, laugh, drink tea, chat, make silly noises, and make amazing noises too. We are a non-auditioned group that accepts EVERYONE…. Yes, even you “I only sing in the shower” types. We sing music from all over the world and from any style, learning a lot about other cultures and singing traditions as we go.

In the ICC, community is the most important part of what we do, and we often go for lunch together, book tickets to shows and concerts and have karaoke sessions! It’s the best place to be to find people with positivity, great humour and a love of music.

Come join us – you won’t regret it!
