Relatively new (born in 2021), Mamaeee  choir, taken from the street name of the space we rehearse in, consists of a bunch of enthusiastic members of all music backgrounds and abilities that love to meet, sing, and have fun together!

The choir started its rehearsals in a big living room of an old house in Mamae street and now moved to a larger space.

Situated in the heart of a busy city such as Athens, it provides a safe welcoming space, where time can stop for a while so that people can enjoy singing and being together in harmony.

We sing a capella and sometimes accompanied by an accordion or guitar/ukulele.

Repertoire is wide, starting  from folksongs from around the world, and expanding to silly wee songs that make us laugh and play, songs that express the feeling of the season, songs of protest, or songs with lyrics that empower us and secretly  heal us.

Mamas Voices is an inclusive singing group created for women and mamas who need some time to focus on themselves.

It’s a relaxed, informal space where you can bring your little ones. They can watch and listen as we grown-ups get to:

• sing for fun and enrichment
• build confidence
• unwind and connect in a friendly group.

We mostly sing acapella and songs are taught by ear. We don’t use sheet music, so everyone learns at the same pace.

We’re not part of a franchise so we can sing whatever we want to.

Our songs are from all over the world and any genre. We choose songs that sound good and are fulfilling to sing.

MamaSings – Stroud Maternity Mother & Baby Singing

Gentle lullabies, uplifting songs and simple harmonies. Something to sooth and entertain both mother and baby while meeting other new mums and babies in your local area.

THURSDAY MORNINGS – 2 groups / 2 venues

9.50am-10.50am – at Stroud Maternity Unit (SMU)

FREE to attend. These sessions are for pregnant women & mothers with babies 0-6 months old.

11am-12pm – at Trinity Rooms Community Hub (on Field Road, opposite SMU)

FREE to attend. These sessions are for mothers with babies 6-12 months old.

Both sessions are free to attend as they are kindly funded by Stroud Hospital’s League Of Friends. No booking necessary. These are both drop in sessions for families in the Stroud and nearby surrounding area.

Thursdays 9.50am-10.50am AND Thursdays 11am-12pm

Manchester Community Choir has been running for around 25 years and has about 80 members. Our repertoire includes songs from all over the world, both modern and traditional, with the odd pop song thrown in for good measure. Within this rich and varied mix, all our songs reflect our values of respect for the world and its peoples, and a belief in freedom, fairness and peace.

We sing acapella and we aim to have fun while we practise and perform. We welcome all comers, and we don’t audition. We keep our subscription rates as low as possible, and they vary depending on members’ ability to pay.

Anyone is welcome to come along and have a free taster session.

We meet three times per month: 1st Sunday of the month, 3:30-5:45pm, and 2nd and 3rd Mondays, 7:30-9:30pm.
