Find a choir or singing group

On this page you can search for a choir or singing group by its name or by location.

If you are searching in the UK, click on “By location” and select “United Kingdom”, and you will then be able to narrow down your search by postcode. Alternatively you can zoom in on the map.

If you are searching for a member who is outside the UK, you will be able to search by country.

Then click on the button to initiate the search. You will then get an outline of the choirs and singing groups which match your search and you’ll be able to view full details. Please use these to contact any choirs that you’re interested in.

If you need to contact the NVN, rather than an individual choir, you can do so by emailing admin@naturalvoice.net

Body of Sound

Location

The Old Junior School, Sharrow Lane, Sheffield

Description

Body of Sound is a women’s singing group. We love singing, enjoy the sound we make together and want to get more confident in using our voices. We don’t have any auditions; even if you feel a bit apprehensive about singing in a group or possibly quite terrified, you’re very welcome – a lot of us felt that way when we first joined and some of us still do.

We do occasional local gigs and busking sessions throughout the year for causes we support.

Session times

Wednesdays in term time - 19:30 - 21:30

Bradford on Avon Songways

Location

Holy Trinity Church, Church St, Bradford on Avon

Description

Join our choir on Friday mornings in the beautiful and spacious Holy Trinity Church, Bradford on Avon, led by Jane Harris. Expect a warm welcome and rewarding singing sessions filled with a wide variety of songs, rich harmonies, infectious fun and moments of stillness. There are no auditions and there is no need to read music – Jane teaches all the songs and harmonies by ear.

We combine with the Bath Songways choir for performances in beautiful venues including Bath Abbey.

We relish the energy, vibrancy and variety of the songs we sing in Songways and are excited by the way singing in harmony can take us into different sound worlds. Jane plays the violin and we love to collaborate with other instrumental musicians for some of our songs – including guitar and bouzouki. Singing with Songways is also a chance to develop your voice, increasing range and resonance, and exploring new singing styles.

Bradford Voices Community Choir

Location

St Peters Church, Moorhead Lane, Saltaire, BD18 4JH

Description

We are a very friendly mixed choir of all ages who come together to sing for pleasure. We were formed in 1996 with an aim of providing people the opportunity to sing and make new friends.
We sing unaccompanied and in harmony and we are particularly keen to recruit men and younger singers who are under-represented in the choir at the moment.
It is our belief that everyone has a voice and can sing, so there are no auditions; people just come along (first night is free) and sing the part where their voice feels most comfortable.
Our repertoire includes songs of peace, celebration, the environment and world music. Most of our songs are taught in either 3 or 4 part harmony, using the aural tradition of call and response, so you don’t have to be able to read music.
We do perform a few times a year and everyone is welcome and encouraged to take part but there is no pressure. We try our best for it to be an enjoyable and exciting part of choir.
Each year we try to get away on a choir residential which we use as an opportunity for choir to experience a guest leader. It’s always lots of fun and one of the highlights of our year!
