Find a choir or singing group

On this page you can search for a choir or singing group by its name or by location.

If you are searching in the UK, click on “By location” and select “United Kingdom”, and you will then be able to narrow down your search by postcode. Alternatively you can zoom in on the map.

If you are searching for a choir outside the UK, you will be able to search by country.

Then click on the button to initiate the search. You will then get an outline of the choirs and singing groups which match your search and you’ll be able to view full details. Please use these to contact any choirs that you’re interested in.

If you need to contact the NVN, rather than an individual choir, you can do so by emailing admin@naturalvoice.net

Peterchurch Community Choir

Location

The Hub, St Peter's Church, Church Road, Peterchurch, Hereford HR2 0RT

Description

Peterchurch Community Choir celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2023. We are a welcoming and inclusive group for all, whether new to singing or experienced. We sing a wide range of songs, chants, rounds and 2-4 part songs, including locally composed pieces for seasonal community events. There are no obligations, but singers can gain enjoyment through singing in harmony and develop the richness of their vocal quality through singing together. While mostly a non-performance choir, we share our songs within the community to encourage others to sing with us.

Each session starts with a solid vocal warm-up with musical exercises to help you build your confidence, and you’ll have access to recordings to help you practise between sessions.

We currently perform twice a year, in the winter and the summer (with the occasional smaller performance here and there). Performing is optional but encouraged. Newcomers are welcome towards the start of terms and later by arrangement.
