Find a choir or singing group

On this page you can search for a choir or singing group by its name or by location.

If you are searching in the UK, click on “By location” and select “United Kingdom”, and you will then be able to narrow down your search by postcode. Alternatively you can zoom in on the map.

If you are searching for a member who is outside the UK, you will be able to search by country.

Then click on the button to initiate the search. You will then get an outline of the choirs and singing groups which match your search and you’ll be able to view full details. Please use these to contact any choirs that you’re interested in.

If you need to contact the NVN, rather than an individual choir, you can do so by emailing admin@naturalvoice.net

Shakti Sings Community Choir

Location

The Music Room, Spring Grove House, West Thames College, London Road, Isleworth TW7 4HS

Description

Shakti Sings is a non-audition community  choir.

We learn  joyful uplifting songs in harmony and perform them outside next to the River Thames at the end of the day (or in the case of May 18th on the following day at our picnic).

What’s special about us is that we don’t meet every week.  While you’re encouraged to (and we think you may WANT To) participate as often as possible, it’s not compulsory to attend every month.

Members also have the opportunity to join us twice a year singing at sunrise at Stonehenge at the summer and winter solstice.

We believe singing is for everyone so come along and try it out, we’d love to welcome you.

Sing for joy, sing together, sing to the land.

Location

Description

Everyone is welcome – this is a friendly supportive group welcoming both experienced singers and those with less confidence who may be feeling anxious and or who have never sung with a group before.

We connect with self and others, the elements, the land and the sea – meeting in a relaxed setting, a centre of wellness in the heart of Shepton Mallet

We focus on breath – singing from the core and the heart, complementing yoga practice but with no experience necessary.

Our style and approach to singing is freestyle and informal.  We introduce harmony and improvisation and simply go with the flow, exploring a variety of short songs, chants, mantras and rounds – inspired by cultures worldwide, including our own.
