Find a choir or singing group

On this page you can search for a choir or singing group by its name or by location.

If you are searching in the UK, click on “By location” and select “United Kingdom”, and you will then be able to narrow down your search by postcode. Alternatively you can zoom in on the map.

If you are searching for a choir outside the UK, you will be able to search by country.

Then click on the button to initiate the search. You will then get an outline of the choirs and singing groups which match your search and you’ll be able to view full details. Please use these to contact any choirs that you’re interested in.

If you need to contact the NVN, rather than an individual choir, you can do so by emailing admin@naturalvoice.net

Sacrae

Location

Central location with parking nearby, usually Romsey Mill

Description

Sacrae is Cambridge’s long-running sacred song circle, lead by myself and Anna McIvor.  We gather once a month or more on a Sunday afternoon to sing simple song and chant with beautiful harmonies with the intention of connecting to ourselves, to our sense of the sacred.

Singing together in a circle in a held space with this intention relaxes the body, nourishes the spirit and can provide the sustenance needed to take ourselves back out into the world and make the difference we can.

Sacrae is usually held off Mill Road at Romsey Mill, CB1 3BZ, from 2pm to 3.30pm with social space and tea afterwards.  Suggested donation £10.  Parking nearby.  No spiritual affiliation or beliefs necessary 🙂

Session times

Usually twice a month on Sundays from 2pm - 3.30pm

Sandford Sings

The Parish Hall, Fanny's Lane, Sandford, EX17 4NA

Description

We are a fun and frolicsome community choir based in Sandford (near Crediton), meeting on Wednesday evenings. We sing songs in sweet acapella from folk to gospel, pop and world music harmonies. There are around 30 of us and we are lucky to have a strong male contingent…6 male tenors and 4 basses!  We are very sociable and go the Lamb Inn after choir, and we often sing there too! We do perform for some local charity events but above all sing just for the joy of singing. Do come and try us out – the first session is free to try!

Seasonal Community Folk Choir

Location

The Pavilion, Fownhope Recreation Field, Caplor Lane, Fownhope, Herefordshire, HR1 4PE.

Description

A series of Seasonal Community Folk Choirs through the year, with song sharing in the spring, summer, autumn and winter – including some fun with Herefordshire Carols (collected by Ella Mary Leather) and ‘Village Carols’ from the Sheffield tradition in the run up to Christmas.

These are short burst choirs of 4 weeks at a time, with a focus on seasonal and local traditional songs – as well as rounds and simple warm up songs from the global folk tradition.

This is an opportunity to sing for pleasure in a relaxed & friendly group atmosphere – singing for the love of singing – and for enjoyment of folk song and community.

All songs will be taught by ear, and no experience is necessary. All voices are welcome, there is no audition, and no-one will be asked to sing on their own. No music reading is required.

Our next seasonal Choir is March 2025 for some spring songs.

Join us on Thursdays (6th, 13th, 20th and 27th), 7pm – 8.30pm, at the Fownhope Pavilion.

Subsequent choirs this year will be in June at the earlier time of 6.30 – 8pm and in October, 7 – 8.30pm, both on Thursday evenings. In late November / December we will meet on Sunday afternoons for our Village Carols.

Email Kate for more details.

Session times

Thursdays 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th March, 7 - 8.30pm.
