Rowheath Voices meet on Thursday mornings during school term-times and we sing songs from all over the place, learning everything by ear with no need to read music.

Come and join us for a joyful, heart-lifting sing on a Thursday morning in the beautiful surrounds of Rowheath Pavilion.

First session is FREE.

Sacrae is a small friendly drop-in group, which has been running for about 5 years, led by Helen East and Anna McIvor. It’s an opportunity for stillness and song, a time to recharge and connect.

We sing sacred harmony songs as a form of meditation and contemplation; songs are chosen for their beauty, simplicity and intention.  It is an opportunity for stillness as well as harmony, and a space to connect with the sacred, whatever that may mean to you. The songs may be be inspired by different spiritual traditions or practices, including Taize, Harmonic Temple and Sufism. There is time for tea & chat afterwards.

We may be meeting at Romsey Mill or the Flamsteed Road scout hut, usually from 2pm – 3.30pm.  All sessions £12/£10/£7.

Sacrae is Cambridge’s long-running sacred song circle, lead by myself and Anna McIvor.  We gather once a month or more on a Sunday afternoon to sing simple song and chant with beautiful harmonies with the intention of connecting to ourselves, to our sense of the sacred.

Singing together in a circle in a held space with this intention relaxes the body, nourishes the spirit and can provide the sustenance needed to take ourselves back out into the world and make the difference we can.

Sacrae is usually held off Mill Road at Romsey Mill, CB1 3BZ, from 2pm to 3.30pm with social space and tea afterwards.  Suggested donation £10.  Parking nearby.  No spiritual affiliation or beliefs necessary 🙂

Celebrate the Earth, the elements, the seasonal cycle and our connection with songs and chants that honour Mother Earth, sending healing out with our voices, reconnecting us to deeper parts of ourselves and All Our Relations.

The songs are simple, yet powerful, especially when sung as a group. No experience necessary. Suitable for beginners and those with more experience might enjoy adding harmony parts. We will also try some simple rounds. We will start with simple warmups for breath, body and voice.

We shall sing some of our familiar chants and some more autumnal ones.

Most importantly the songs are usually felt as nurturing, joyful and uplifting, together
