Find a choir or singing group

On this page you can search for a choir or singing group by its name or by location.

If you are searching in the UK, click on “By location” and select “United Kingdom”, and you will then be able to narrow down your search by postcode. Alternatively you can zoom in on the map.

If you are searching for a member who is outside the UK, you will be able to search by country.

Then click on the button to initiate the search. You will then get an outline of the choirs and singing groups which match your search and you’ll be able to view full details. Please use these to contact any choirs that you’re interested in.

If you need to contact the NVN, rather than an individual choir, you can do so by emailing admin@naturalvoice.net

Singing Walks

Location

Various locations around Stroud, Gloucestershire

Description

I lead singing walks at a variety of locations around Stroud.  Each walk will be approx 3.5 miles, with breaks to learn and sing simple songs – rounds or 2-3 part harmony.  Songs will have an environmental and/or seasonal connection.

The walks are usually for around 3 hours on Sunday afternoons. Please contact me for dates.

The terrain will include hills and uneven ground, so appropriate footwear is essential.

Session times

Intermittently on Sundays, for about 3 hours between 12-5 pm.

Singing4fun with Parkinson’s

Location

Marchmont St. Giles, 3 Kilgraston Rd, Edinburgh EH9 2DW

Description

This group has started singing together in person again, so do get in touch if you’d like to come along. During the pandemic, I made weekly 45 minute singing videos for this group that are available for anyone to watch, learn and sing along with here: https://singlouderthanguns.com/health-and-music/. There are now 90 videos!

We sing for fun and enjoyment as well as to exercise the vocal folds, respiratory and facial muscles. Our singing builds friendships and laughter is guaranteed! Sessions include rounds, part harmonies, traditional songs, jazz numbers, ballads and songs from around the globe. No prior singing experience is required and you don’t have to read music – songs are taught by ear. We generally sing without accompaniment but occasionally our song leaders may add a little of their choosing.

Singing4Fun is not just for people with Parkinson’s – anyone who wants to sing is welcome. Nor do you have to commit to coming every week, drop-in when you can. There is a small charge for each session.

Session times

Tuesday afternoons from 2-4pm
