Find a choir or singing group

On this page you can search for a choir or singing group by its name or by location.

If you are searching in the UK, click on “By location” and select “United Kingdom”, and you will then be able to narrow down your search by postcode. Alternatively you can zoom in on the map.

If you are searching for a member who is outside the UK, you will be able to search by country.

Then click on the button to initiate the search. You will then get an outline of the choirs and singing groups which match your search and you’ll be able to view full details. Please use these to contact any choirs that you’re interested in.

If you need to contact the NVN, rather than an individual choir, you can do so by emailing admin@naturalvoice.net

Songworks – Wednesday Massif

Location

Union Church, Weston Park, Crouch End, N8 9PX

Description

Songworks runs weekly community choirs in North London for people who love to sing. With no auditions and no need to read music, it’s a fun and pressure-free environment in which to enjoy your voice as part of a big, beautiful sound.

Our Wednesday choir is a large evening choir (around 60 singers) with a termly commitment. We perform at Crouch End Festival (summer and winter) as well as at our own end-of-term concerts and other fundraising events throughout the year. There is currently a waiting list for this choir.

Songworks is a lively social network and a big part of community life, performing at events and supporting local causes such as the Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants, homeless charity All People All Places and inclusive theatre and performing arts company Haringey Shed.

soulsinging

Location

online

Description

We sing simple rounds and harmonies of a spiritual nature in a meditative atmosphere, with an emphasis on immersing ourselves in the sound. I increasingly choose themes for each session which are connected with the natural world e.g. celebrating the seasons.

Singing online is different from in-person, though enjoyable in its own way. The benefits are still the joy of singing with others (even if you can’t hear them) and using your body, breath and voice to centre you. Many have said they are more confident to sing out as no-one else can hear them!

All are welcome and each session stands alone, though one of the wonderful things about singing is how it brings complete strangers together very quickly.

Email me for the Zoom link.

Sounding It Out

Location

Gloucester Rd, Trowbridge BA14 0AA
Sheppards Barton

Description

Sounding It Out was established by legendary Wiltshire singing leader Candy Verney in 2008. Candy moved to Ireland in 2015 to start a singing centre in Ireland: since then, the group has been led by Caroline Radcliffe.
We are a friendly crowd, with singers coming from all over west Wiltshire, Bath and Bristol. We come from a diversity of musical backgrounds. Some have never sung before, while others have lots of experience: we embrace everyone! We have a good deal of fun, as well as working on a high standard of performance. We sing a range of songs: modern, traditional, and songs from other countries.
We love to perform! You can hear us at charity, community and other events in Wiltshire, Bath and beyond. We occasionally host choirs from other countries, as well as make return visits. We hosted a choir from Czech Republic in October 2013, and made a return trip in Oct 2014. We visited a choir in Mallorca in 2018. We have at least one weekend away together during the year, and may also be seen intermittently at various skittle alleys and pubs in the local area.

We sing inspirational songs from around the world, teaching all songs by ear. There are no auditions, no sheet music and no previous experience is necessary. “Like a men’s group but with no gazing of navels”.
