Find a choir or singing group

On this page you can search for a choir or singing group by its name or by location.

If you are searching in the UK, click on “By location” and select “United Kingdom”, and you will then be able to narrow down your search by postcode. Alternatively you can zoom in on the map.

If you are searching for a choir outside the UK, you will be able to search by country.

Then click on the button to initiate the search. You will then get an outline of the choirs and singing groups which match your search and you’ll be able to view full details. Please use these to contact any choirs that you’re interested in.

If you need to contact the NVN, rather than an individual choir, you can do so by emailing admin@naturalvoice.net

Sing Your Way

Location

Centre of Complementary Medicine, 13b Dragon Street, Petersfield GU31 4JN

Description

We are not a choir but an informal and friendly group which meets on the first and third Sundays of each month. There’s no requirement to come every time, it’s fine to drop in when you can. We sing songs you may well know already, seasonal songs and simple rounds, folk songs and songs inspired by nature/culture.

No experience necessary, no audition, no sheet music, no pressure, no commitment, no such thing as a wrong note, just a space for us to get together and sing (or hum, or tap). Singing together can reduce stress, lift the mood and cultivate a sense of community and connection. We are an open and inclusive group, whatever your age, sound, background, identity or experience, you are welcome.

The singing sessions last for one hour and are free of charge (donations towards room hire and running costs are welcome but optional). It’s fine to move around or stop and listen or harmonise or improvise – anything goes.

For more information, please email zoeflint11@gmail.com

Singing Assembly Morning Choir

Location

Florence park Community Centre. Cornwallis Road, Oxford OX4 3NH

Description

Whether you’re an experienced singer, a little rusty, lapsed from formal choirs or looking to learn something new for a hobby and activity, singing ticks all the well-being boxes and helps create a sense of connection and well-being.
Session starts with breathing and vocal warm-ups, leading on to simple chants and short songs and rounds followed by unaccompanied songs from oral traditions in two or three-part harmony. There might be groovy gospel, folky fun, wonderful world music and sing-a-long sillies plus special pieces tailored for non-performing mixed ability choirs.
Whilst it’s great to build skills , many songs will be achievable in a single session whilst others might need longer to learn. Something for everyone.
All songs will be taught clearly by ear. You do not need to read music and it’s just for fun.
This friendly choir promises to enhance your week.
Just walking through the door is your audition!
Fees are paid by card on the door. Choose what you can honestly afford between £6.00 and £9.00 for a one and a half hour session. No judgement.
Please arrive in good time.
N.B. Access to Florence Park Community Centre is from the Florence Park Road end of Cornwallis Road NOT from Iffley Road end which has cameras in place.
