NVN Regional Networks
All members are encouraged to meet regularly, share ideas and problem-solve through informal or regional networks. You can download the current list of NVN regional networks here. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you notice any inaccuracies in this.
Continuing Professional Development and Reflective Practice are both key elements of the NVN Code of Practice. Regional networks provide a chance to take advantage of the huge range of skills and experience on offer from your peers. Running groups can be a potentially isolating experience and it’s all too easy to get busy or overstretched, so these networks provide a welcome opportunity to share, learn and be nurtured.
Regional Development Days
Regional Development days are a great opportunity to link up with other NVN members in your area and find out how to make the most of being part of a professional network. Details of any planned days will be circulated well in advance.
Testimonial from Regional Development Day 2014/2015:
“The regional development day in Cardiff was a first for me, not having attended any other NVN event before. I didn’t know what to expect and yet somehow it was exactly what I needed! (The) facilitation was inclusive & effective. The different models of ‘action learning’ gave me food for thought about how to make the most of precious group time. It was great to meet other likeminded people, and also to draw upon the wide range of experience and skills amongst us. We are already contacting each other to shadow, share and sing together. If you’re in doubt about whether this would be a good use of a precious Saturday – take the plunge!”
