I have been running a group called Sacrae since 2017. We sing simple short sacred songs with beautiful harmonies, such as songs from Taize, Harmonic Temple (Nickomo) and the Findhorn songbook “Heaven and Earth”. The group is drop-in, and everyone is welcome whether they have sung before or not. We practise singing as a form of meditation, leaving silence after the songs. We choose songs from a variety of spiritual traditions and more modern songs with spiritual themes such as peace and mindfulness.
Sacrae is a small friendly drop-in group. We sing sacred songs as a form of meditation and contemplation, in a similar way to how Taize and Harmonic Temple songs are sung. We choose short easy songs that are rounds or can be sung in harmony.
