I have a knack for getting people singing together, in harmony, and having fun doing it. Acapella.
I have recently returned from living in New Zealand. I’ve been facilitating community choirs and workshops for over 30 years and love it! Acapella, wide range of styles, including some beautiful Maori waiata ( songs) that I have been privileged to learn.
My focus is always on nurturing inclusion, and consider the experience of the voice and song being a vehicle, rather than a destination; to simply have fun, and the satisfaction of learning and creating a beautiful sound from the coming together of each individual natural voice.
Annemarie wrote this about her experience…
‘ Your approach allowed people to let down their defences, breathe deeply, be open to what might happen. We were willing to immerse ourselves and consequently made some glorious music. That also made our lives more interesting, and dare I say it, made us more expansive, generous people into the bargain. The sheer pleasure of singing alongside one another makes the world become more coherent in some subtle and enormous way. It’s not celebrated nearly enough, which is why I must celebrate you here. Your choir became a vehicle for belonging — to a family, to a community, and to this place.’
