A fun and friendly, inclusive community singing group, singing songs from around the world.
Hello, I am Helen, an experienced choir director with over 12 years of experience leading choirs and a lifelong love of music and singing.
After many years of living in Brighton and leading various groups (Brighton Vox, Songbirds choir, The Tree of Life group) I have moved to West Wales and started Cardigan Community singing group in 2022; a welcoming, friendly and inclusive group.
Our emphasis is on having fun, making connections with others through singing. The repertoire is really varied and includes everything from folk to pop. All the material is taught by ear and singers are encouraged to try singing with different parts as they experience the joy of singing luscious harmonies.
We do occasional informal performances at local events, which are always aimed at sharing the joy of what we are doing, rather than striving for impressive polished performances!
Although my teaching style is relaxed, people usually say they feel revived and energised after a session. I just love to see smiling faces as we practice, improve and achieve beautiful singing in harmony together.
