Chanting groups, workshops & 1-1. Work can include spiritual and therapeutic dimensions of voice.
I offer workshops, chanting groups and 1-1. You are invited to connect to your music and to regain the full range of your vocal expression. My methods include both physical technique as well as spiritual and therapeutic dimensions. A voice teacher for over 30 years, I have worked with people from all walks of life, different backgrounds and ages.
My background – I started with singing at home with my family, school choirs, musicals, folk music, then went into the performing arts. I have studied the voice in all its intricacies with some wonderful singing teachers. They introduced me to methods that expanded my range and my approach, which transformed my voice and my life. I continue to study holistic voice practices which means that in any class, we start from where you are!
When is a choir not a choir? When it is a chanting group! The harmonies we seek are not in the parts we sing, but in the vibrations of the mantras, chants and songs. We sing in unison, simple but melodic music that helps everyone tune in to their voice whilst being strengthened by the group sound. All voices are welcome, no previous experience is required. The aim of our monthly gatherings is to feel better in yourself and more at home in your voice!
