Community choirs, Men's choirs, Georgian choirs.
I have been leading singing groups for over 30 years. For me, singing in harmony, in groups, singing inspirational harmony songs from around the World brings me deep joy. I run day workshops and an annual singing holiday week on the Hebridean Isle of Eigg. I lead mixed groups and men only groups. Georgian songs are another speciality.
A mixed choir singing 3-part polyphonic songs from Georgia (Europe).
Please get in touch if you would like more information about our approach, our priorities, costs and location.
Sunday 7-8.30pm
A friendly mixed community choir, established in 2004. We sing inspirational songs from around the world. All songs are taught by ear, no sheet music, no auditions and no previous experience is needed.
We only perform occasionally preferring the enjoyment of coming together each week to sing with and to each other without the pressure of a forthcoming concert. When we do share some of our songs in public, most often at the Universal Hall, we have a ball.
Thursdays during term time 7.30-9.30pm
A friendly male voice choir, singing since 2011. Co-led by Bill Henderson and David Harrison, both experienced choir leaders with extensive and contrasting musical backgrounds, experience and skills. We sing inspirational songs from around the world, teaching all songs by ear. There are no auditions, no sheet music and no previous experience is necessary. “Like a men’s group but with no gazing of navels”. We occasionally share some of our songs on an unsuspecting audience.
Tuesdays during term time 7.30-9.30pm
