Additional information

I began leading choirs in Derbyshire in 1998 when the choir I attended became leaderless, and I stepped up, not wanting to miss out on my weekly singing fix. I led five choirs per week at my peak, ranging from 12 to 70 singers, and sang a wide range of songs from old to new, and near to far including my own compositions and arrangements. I also lead community drumming groups and workshops, and offer a wide range of styles. I am a qualified school music teacher and have covered primary PPE, taught KS3 and 4, taught guitar, ukulele, recorder, singing, steel pan, drumming and keyboards. I set up Georgian harmony singing groups in Derby, and in Lancaster.  I designed and led a course for aspiring song-leaders, called Sing with Me. I have led community song-writing workshops, and was in all-mother punk band \\\”The Mothers\\\”, who sang about the trials and tribulations of parenthood. I retrained in music technology during lockdown and am now composing electronic music.
