Abi Moore is a Choir Director, Workshop Leader and Acappella Arranger based in Nottingham, specialising in contemporary, unaccompanied harmony singing.

ABI’S WORK

She is Musical Director for her acappella choir Totally Vocally, based across the East Midlands, and she founded Crazy Little Sing Called Pub. Her popular vocal arrangements are enjoyed by choirs all over the world, with both her scores and learning tracks available worldwide through international publishing giant Hal Leonard, via Choir Community. Abi also enjoys making split-screen videos for all of her arrangements, which receive thousands of views on her Acapella With Abi YouTube channel.

She leads singing by ear, in the Natural Voice style, without the singers holding any words or scores, bringing out maximum confidence and joy and allowing a more meaningful connection with the listener.

During the pandemic, Abi’s workshops, tutorials and masterclasses went fully online and she worked with choirs all over the globe, teaching her arrangements and keeping the singing going from the very first week of lockdown.

ACAPPELLA HIGHLIGHTS

• She was Guest Soloist with Choir Invisible, performing at the Notre Dame Cathedral and the UNESCO headquarters in Paris for the inauguration of Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s Bilbao Peace Prize in 2012.
• In 2017, she led a smaller pocket of her choir singers on tour with Prince tribute band the New Purple Celebration, performing live at venues such as the Royal Concert Hall and Albert Hall.
• She took Totally Vocally to New York to sing in front of 3,000 people at the Lincoln Center with Deke Sharon in 2018, singing with stars from the Pitch Perfect films, Pentatonix and Voice Play.
• Totally Vocally performed with Gareth Malone at a sold out Nottingham Playhouse in November 2022, invited by Gareth to be his on-stage choir for the Nottingham leg of his UK tour.
• Abi has recently completed a course in Innovative Choirleading at the Royal Academy of Music in Denmark, under the tutelage of Jim Daus Hjernoe, Peder Karlsson and Jesper Holm.

OTHER MUSICAL PROJECTS

Abi has also toured the UK and Europe as a singer/ songwriter and her fourth solo album of original material is now out.
