Melia is the leader of Shire Choir, an uplifting pop-up community choir in the Northern Rivers, NSW.
Melia is a Natural Voice leader, songwriter and performer. She runs weekly Singing Circles around the Byron Bay region of Northern NSW, creating a positive and supportive space where women can express themselves with their full natural voice.
Melia is co-writer of New Blood the musical, a provocative, witty and poignant new show that recently won the Award for Outstanding New Work at the Gold Palm Theatre Awards, December 2022.
She is leader of Shire Choir, a local pop-up community fuelled choir that celebrates and acknowledges everyone’s voice.
Shire Choir is an uplifting pop-up community choir which began in 2018, and has since entertained thousands of people with our special brand of audience-powered fun.
Each Shire Choir event brings the love of music and the power of our own unique voices together in harmony.
From the pop-up pub choir experience of Shire Choir in Bangalow, Lismore and Mullumbimby, to immersive, interactive weekend workshops, to local evening vocal groups, and through to intimate, themed supper club events, there is literally something for everyone – and every voice – at a Shire Choir event.
