I lead Songworks, who run friendly, fun, no-audition choirs in North London. Every voice is welcome, whether you’re an absolute beginner, a seasoned singer or somewhere in between.
Our repertoire covers a range of uplifting songs from around the world, all sung in glorious harmony and taught by ear.
Songworks is perfect if you’re a bit nervous about joining a choir or worried you can’t hold a tune – it’s a warm and welcoming community and the focus is on singing for enjoyment and wellbeing rather than perfection. (That said, we do sound AMAZING!)
Songworks runs weekly community choirs in North London for people who love to sing. With no auditions and no need to read music, it’s a fun and pressure-free environment in which to enjoy your voice as part of a big, beautiful sound.
Songworks is a lively social network and a big part of community life, performing at events and supporting local causes such as the Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants, homeless charity All People All Places and inclusive theatre and performing arts company Haringey Shed.
Monday evenings 8.00 - 9.30pm

Our Tuesday choir is a day-time choir averaging 30-35 singers. It is a non-performing choir though we sometimes sing together with the Wednesday choir at local events and festivals.

Tuesday mornings 9.45 to 11am

Our Wednesday choir is a large evening choir (around 60 singers) with a termly commitment. We perform at Crouch End Festival (summer and winter) as well as at our own end-of-term concerts and other fundraising events throughout the year. There is currently a waiting list for this choir.
