Additional information

I am a singing leader interested in polyvagal theories of safety and connection. I currently lead small groups of people singing in nature or using Collaborative Vocal Improvisation to find our deepest connections and closest kin.

I draw on my experience as a Speech and Language Therapist and of leading groups such as Singing for Lung Health and singing with people living with dementia and their carers. I have also led pop up choirs for various projects such as The Pendle Hill Song Fellowship with the East Lancs Clarion Choir.

I keep sessions simple and fun, but also help you find the magic moments of harmony, rhythm and connectedness.

I have recently been commissioned as follows:

a) by Super Slow Way and the British Textile Bienniel to involve local people in an exciting new sound installation

b) by Art House Jersey to write some lullabies created by a community of mothers there.

c) by Northern Silents to include some vocal improvisation in their “Silents by the Sea” Festival in Morecambe Winter Gardens on 8 and 9 June 2024.

d) by Lancaster Arts to lead a Sound and Story Walk as part of the Are You Lost Project – creating a closely connected group who listen in nature and create a woodland orchestra with voice

Please get in touch if you would like me to sing with you, use voice to connect you or if I can advise on how singing can make a difference.
