Hi guys!

I’m George, a 32yo man based in North London with a deep passion for the connecting, empowering and healing power of communal singing, and find enormous fulfillment & purpose in being a conduit for others by helping them to tap into this magical experience and birth right.

Having studied music at Newcastle University (including a conducting course), I now:

• co-conduct a university alumni choir from Durham called Southern Spirit Singers
• lead an annual charity carolling group called All Change Please who perform at St Pancras station every year (see what we did with the name there 😉 ) which now boasting over 100 members (although 30 on the night would be a fantastic turnout)
• lead a relaxed barbershop quartet called Queensgate Quartet

Although I play the piano, trumpet and guitar (albeit rather averagely), I am most passionate about singing & composing/arranging, and love nothing more than combining these two passions through the creation & performance of new compositions & arrangements with the various groups I’m involved with.

I am just at the start of my career as a song leader and am hugely excited by the prospect of leading song workshops using the oral tradition (having taught mostly thus far with sheet music) so am diving in with both feet to make that a reality. I always eager to learn new skills & develop as a group leader but am also confident that my experiences to date have provided with a really solid foundation from which to launch from.
