Additional information

I am a singer, actor, voice artist and choir/singing leader.

My background is in theatre and I have performed with some wonderful companies (White Horse Theatre, Gifford\’s Circus, Company of Sirens, Bristol Old Vic, Tobacco Factory Theatre, Verity Standen Projects, Terrestrial, MAYK, The Wardrobe Theatre ,Pickled Image) in some amazing spaces (Southbank Centre, National Theatre River Stage, St George\’s Bristol) over the years. I have played music and sung for circus, theatre shows, composers, bands and festivals and toured across the UK and Europe. In 2017 I co-founded In Our Hands Theatre whose work combines physical theatre and voice to amplify lesser heard voices in society.

My work is firmly rooted in the voice and I have focused the last few years on projects that involve harmony singing, be that complex contemporary compositions or singing folk songs with my choir.

I started my choir, Songbirds, in East Bristol in December 2022. Leading Songbirds is a delightfully lighthearted and gentle way for me to share the experience and work I have gathered over the past 15 years working in theatre, music and performance. It also brings me back into connection with my upbringing in a house full of song. My late mum, a singer, voice leader and NVN member herself, was my first voice teacher, inspiration and mentor.
When I am not busying myself with songs and words, I am at home with my two small daughters.
